Our volunteers are the essential
part of our PTSA. There are still a few key
volunteer opportunities available for next
year's Committee Chairs. This is a great way
to get involved! Please consider chairing,
co-chairing or helping on one or more of the
committees.

Attention Parent Volunteers!
This is a friendly
reminder to everyone who plans to volunteer
at Carson Elementary: please make sure that
your volunteer applications are current.
LWSD volunteer applications are good for two
years. If you applied when the program
began, your term is up and you must resubmit
your application. New and renewal
applications take a couple of weeks to
process. The process/forms are available on
the District website at
www.lwsd.org.
Only approved applicants may volunteer in
the classroom and at school. This
requirement applies to field trip
chaperones, as well.
To verify your status,
you may contact the school office or the
District office directly. When volunteering
at school you must sign in and out at the
school office upon arrival and departure and
wear a volunteer badge at all times.

a great year!

worked very hard behind the scenes to make
sure that the Carson community was kept
informed.

CLIPPING BOX TOPS!!
Please continue
to save your box tops throughout the rest of
the school year and summer. The next contest
will begin as soon as school starts in
September.
Box Tops can be found on hundreds of
different products ranging from food items,
paper products, storage bags and baby care
items. Clipping and collecting Box Tops is
an easy way for our school to raise funds.
Besides clipping Box Tops, there are two
other VERY EASY ways that you can help our
school raise money through the
BoxTops4Education program!
1) Reading Room: when you make an online
purchase from Barnes & Noble via the
"Reading Room" at
www.boxtops4education.com, 6%
of your total purchase is donated to our
school!
2) Marketplace: when you shop online with
many popular retailers via the "Marketplace"
at
www.boxtops4education.com, up to 20%
of your total purchase is donated to
our school!
