New Math Enrichment Program for Rachel Carson Elementary! Math Challenge is designed to give elementary students opportunities to sharpen their mathematical problem-solving skills. There will be 15 sets of challenges every other week starting in late September and ending at the end of May. Throughout the challenges, the program covers problem solving strategies such as draw a picture or model, make an organized list, look for a pattern, working backward, and guess and check.   We are still a long ways away from our whole school bounce house. We have raised $23,900 so far and we need to hit our goal of $55,000 to earn the whole school bounce house. 5th Grade Camp Car Wash Fundraiser
Rachel Carson Families,        Each year fifth grade students to attend Camp Seymour. This Rachel Carson tradition provides hands on science learning and social growth. Each year students participate in a fundraiser to help reduce the costs of camp. Since all students will go to camp in fifth grade, we decided to turn fundraising into school wide effort. The first MOD pizza night was a great success. Thank you for supporting the fifth-grade students. One more MOD night is scheduled for December 3 rd .
