Dear Rachel Carson Families,

I hope this message finds you well! The 2022-2023 school year is off to a fantastic start! Students are in their classrooms building classroom communities, practicing routines and expectations, and having fun! Please read this entire message as there is important information that will impact everyone within our school community in one way or another. This message specifically pertains to pick-up and drop-off procedures.

• Students dropped off and picked up by personal vehicle will do this behind Carson, using the Inglewood main entrance off NE 8^th, using 242^nd Ave. NE.
• Please do not get out of your vehicle
• Drive as forward as possible and wait for safety patrol to open your car door
• Our two busses, plus daycare vans drop off and pick up in our main Carson lot. No personal vehicles
• If you are driving your vehicle at all, you will pick up using the Inglewood entrance. Some families drive, and then walk to get their student(s). If you do this, you will park in the Inglewood lot and walk to get your student(s) using the supervised crosswalk. Parking in neighborhoods and walking to Carson should not take place
• If your students are late to school (past 8:55 AM), you will use the Carson main lot. Students will not be allowed to be dropped off in the main lot before 8:55
• If you are picking your child up for an appointment before the school day has ended, you will use the main Carson parking lot
• Preschool drop-off and pick-up will be in the main Carson lot, for all vehicles

It was wonderful to see everyone this morning, and I have zero doubt that this school year will be amazing. We will partner together to ensure that each student receives the highest quality education.
