Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas and develop artistic literacy. This is a K- 12 program. A student can submit their entry under the following 6 categories and can submit entries upto one for each category.
The categories are:
1. Literature,
2. Music composition,
3. Photography,
4. Visual arts,
5. Film and
6. Dance.
The event is now open to accept entries from students at Rachel Carson Elementary. All submissions are electronic file entries. The art is made by students only. Parents are to refrain from helping in the creative process hence following the rules and guidelines (see link below) is of utmost importance. Entries will be accepted when submitted with a completed entry form (see link below). Deadline for entry/-ies is October 27th 2022.
Entries are submitted at your local PTSA where they are passed through blind judging and winners are submitted at the district PTA. LWPTA takes over at this point to submit entries at state level and state to national level.
All entries are shown at Heritage night at Rachel Carson Art walk.
Please bring your physical entries with the Entry Form to the School Office by October 27, 2022 in addition to emailing your entries and the Entry Form to reflections@carsonptsa.org
